Begaso established their vines in 2015 in the heart of the Kakheti wine region in Georgia, the country largely considered to be the birthplace of winemaking. Currently, the winery works with 20 qvevries, clay pots buried underground, in their cellar to vinify various indigenous Georgian grape varieties in the most traditional method. Grape growing is organic, working towards biodynamic but not yet certified. The wine is aged for 9 months in the qvevries, developing complex flavors of tropical fruits, banana leaf, cigars, leather, and a slight oxidative quality. Organically grown, biodynamically grown, low-intervention/natural wine.
