July 26, 2024 | so long, Sarah!

news!

Hey there.
It's Sarah, your friendly neighborhood wine buyer, here.

For the past 2+ years, I've loved curating Artisan Wine Shop's bottle selection , and have genuinely enjoyed building relationships with each and every one of you as I helped find the right wines to share with your best friends, to pair your special occasions, or just get you through a sweltering Tuesday afternoon.

But the time has come for me to move on.

today is my last day
& tonight is the final tasting I'll be running

As such, we're pulling corks on some of my favorite bottlings!

A delicious, does-it-all French white, a zesty (sort-of-limited) pink, and a knock-your-socks-off Beaujolais will all be open.

Click through the links below to read more about each bottle we'll be pouring, then come by today (Friday 7.26!) from 4-7 to say farewell and have a taste!

Olivier Pithon 'Mon P'tit Pithon' Côtes Catalanes IGP 2023

Domaine de Sulauze 'Pomponette' Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence AOC 2023

Prunelle de Navacelle Beaujolais Lantignié AOP 2020

& Wait! There's one more thing...
WE ARE HIRING!

In my wake, Artisan Wine Shop needs a new Buyer.
If you or someone you know is an experienced wine- and beverage-professional, I can promise  the opportunity here and the shop—the store itself, the staff, the reps you’ll work with and the consumer community—are truly exceptional.

Established in 2006 by Mei Ying So and Tim Buzinski, Artisan Wine Shop is a community-centric independent bottle shop that specializes in small-production, minimal-intervention wines from all corners of the map, as well as local New York State ciders, essential sakes and tricky-to-find spirits. Though its collection runs the gamut from benchmark grower champ and progressive pours that redefine classic categories to just-plain-good table wine, its diversity is united by a guarantee that each and every bottle will over deliver for its price tag.

A good candidate will be hospitality focused, with a good memory and great attitude, and experience and expertise in all wine regions and styles, from classics and collectibles to the latest trending bottles. You can read more about the role here.

For less experienced but beverage-enthusiastic folks, the shop is also seeking a part- or full-time retail person now that busy season is upon us. Find details about that job here.
