Like a Good Neighbor...

This week is a little different than most. We're keeping the wine talk to a minimum - the wines we are tasting this Friday are all expressions of regions that exist at the border of neighboring countries and cultures. But for now, what we'd really like to talk to you about is our own dear neighbor, Matcha Thomas Tea House.

As some of you may know, local darling Matcha Thomas Tea House is in need of community support. Massive delays on their essential matcha shipment from Japan has caused the shop to temporarily shutter operations for two weeks. They are currently crowdsourcing funds via Gofundme to cover wages, bills, and overhead costs during their temporary forced closure.

For those of you who may be unfamiliar, Matcha Thomas is a GEN Z, Black-owned, and sister-led business built from the ground up that has become a staple in so many of our daily routines. Always made with love and served with a smile, their gorgeous matcha drinks, along with their kindness and commitment to community, has inspired a devoted following; we consider ourselves incredibly lucky to be in their orbit.

Supporting small businesses helps our local ecosystem survive and thrive! And in times of great change, let's amplify each other's voices and rally around those in need. May we all continue to work towards building a community of kindness and care.

Kindly help us bring attention to our neighbor's call for help. We'll have their Gofundme link on display throughout our Friday tasting or you can follow the link below if you'd like to offer them your support any time.
