Cascinetta Vietti is a family owned winery, currently in its fifth generation. It is located in the small medieval village of Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of the Lange in the Piedmont. All of the moscato grapes for this wine come from the family’s vineyards, and are harvested later in the season to achieve a wonderful sweetness. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and not allowed to go through malolactic fermentation to preserve its freshness, acidity, and fruit character. The resulting wine has intense aromas of peach, rose petal, and ginger, with a delicate sweetness on the palate balanced by fresh acidity.
