The historical Château de Béru has been in the Béru family for over 400 years, and once relied exclusively on wine production for its income, until the phylloxera crisis at the beginning of the 20th century resulted in the uprooting of all the vines. At last in 1987 the Comte Éric de Béru replanted the entire vineyard, paying particular care and attention to the renowned Clos Béru. His wife, Laurence, and their daughter, Athénaïs, now run the domaine and have made significant transitions in the last 20 years to organic and biodynamic viticulture practices. This Chablis comes from 30 year old vines grown across 8 ha, all located in the Béru area, an area known for imparting distinctive mineral, savory notes to the wine. Mouthwatering lemon sings alongside chalky mineral streaks across a broad, textured palate that all leads to an energetic, elegant finish. Certified organic, certified biodynamic, low-intervention/natural wine.
