Vineyard/Cellar Practices Biodynamically Grown, Low-Intervention/Natural Wine

A young couple sets up a winery and starts making delicious wines from biodynamically grown grapes in an idyllic corner of France…. Not an uncommon story, though with the twist that neither Nelly France (from Brittany) nor her husband, Arnaud De Boel (from Belgium), inherited any vineyards. They have nevertheless managed, in just a few short years, to amass a small collection of well-situated old vines in spots up and down the Rhône. This blend of grenache, caladoc, and carignan offers a combination of umami richness, rustic earthiness, and brambly fruit that uniquely expresses the south of France. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in stainless steel, it is designed to evoke and honor the tradition of butchers and charcuterie in rural France. Though solidly medium-bodied, it expresses a hearty meatiness in its aroma and texture. Chocolatey tannins frame ample black fruit. Biodynamically grown, low-intervention/natural wine.
