Domaine Mea was established nearly a century ago in Louvois, one of the smallest Grand Cru villages in Montagne de Reims and has remained in one family’s hands the entire time. Guy Méa took over in his father’s absence during World War II at the age of 9 years old. He fell in love with tending to the land, animals, and vines, readying himself for a successful future as the demand for Champagne skyrocketed during the 1950’s. Throughout the generations, the family has remained committed to respecting nature and giving back to the land; they have not used herbicides or pesticides since 2016 and have been certified organic since 2022. This blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay rests on its lees for 3 years, contributing depth of flavor and textural complexity. Notes of lemon, lime, and green apple meet a rich palate of toasted brioche, perfect to pair with savory fried foods, seafood, or to enjoy on its own. Certified organic, certified sustainable.
