Domaine Alain Chavy is located just on the edge of Puligny-Montrachet, where the majority of the domaine’s 17 acres are located, with a small amount in neighboring Chassagne and Meursault. Alain practices lutte raisonnée in his vineyards, refraining from the use of herbicides and relying entirely on plowing for weed control. In the cellar, he works to produce structured, mineral-driven Burgundies that transparently express the area’s legendary terroir. This village Bourgogne blanc is made from Alain’s younger vines in Puligny-Montrachet. Elegant and expressive, bright green apple and pear notes accompanied by a spritz of vanilla blossom and lemon zest, dance across a fresh, taut mineral core that evokes Chablis on the finish.
