Jérôme Coursodon continues in the footsteps of five generations of winegrowers on the steep slopes of his family’s domaine in the Saint-Joseph area of the northern Rhône. This ‘Silice’ release stems from vines more than thirty years old, growing in east and southeast-facing parcels perched above the villages of Mauves, Tournon, Glun, and St.-Jean de Muzols. The soils consist of decomposed granite, lending mineral structure to this classically composed syrah. Ripe red raspberry meets plum, blackberry, and currant on a lively palate.
