Fonseca 20 Year Old Tawny Port

Beginning with their first vintage port release in 1840, Fonseca has established a well-deserved reputation - approaching legendary status - as a powerhouse of consistency and greatness across generations. The 20 Year Old Tawny is made from red ports selected from the best vineyards of the Cima Corgo and Douro Superior regions. The wine is aged in small oak casks, where over the course of time it transitions from a deep ruby color to a russet amber hue. In the process it takes on smoother, mellower characteristics, increasing in depth and complexity. Two decades of aging have resulted in a decadent melange of rich plummy fruit accented with warm spicy layers of butterscotch, cinnamon, and toasted nuts.
