Freelander is the result of a partnership between Mike O’Connell and winemaker Larry Levin, who is known for his three decades of winemaking experience in Napa with brands such as Quintessa and Turnbull. The Freelander chardonnay is made from grapes sourced from select sustainably farmed vineyards throughout California. Grapes are fermented in stainless steel and then aged for 10 months in a combination of French and American oak (about 15% new). Succulent aromas of white peach, apricot, golden delicious apple, and vanilla yield to a rich, mouth filling palate bursting with baked apple and pear, baking spice, toasted nuts, and refreshing acidity on the long finish. Sustainably grown.
