Over the past several years, there appears to be a growing consensus that Muscadet is one of the best and most consistent values in white wine. It's hard to argue with the quality; the wines are dry and clean, tasting specifically of the region. Made from the grape melon de Bourgogne, Muscadet is the classic companion to briny oysters and shellfish. Joseph Landron worked with his father for 12 years before continuing on his own. Landron drastically re-shaped this estate, making it one of the most respected in the appellation while simultaneously helping to put Muscadet on the map. Today, he works 114 acres of vines divided among three estates. The wines are certified both organic and biodynamic by Ecocert. This is a dry, flavorful, tangy, mineral driven, crisp wine with notes of fresh citrus and orchard fruit that is perfect for sipping. Certified biodynamic, low-intervention/natural wine, vegan.
