Corrine Kox wears many hats. Holding a doctoral degree in microbiology, she is the daughter of the family who founded the estate in the 1970s. She is a scientist, innovator, experimenter, and a winemaking dynamo. Her curiosity, passion for analysis, and her pursuit of futurisms have led her to create over 60 cuvees in any given vintage, marrying ancestral ideas with modern technologies. This cuvee of Saint Laurent, a grape that is widely planted in the cool-climate regions of Eastern Europe and beyond, is exceptional in its ability to simultaneously transport you to the past and time travel to the future. With close genetic ties to Pinot Noir, you can expect lift on the palate but a spicy, woodsy edge grounds you back to earth. Utilizing a kvevri sourced from Georgia, the wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts and rests in kvevri for 7 months. Pair with pork tenderloin with apple compote or your favorite BBQ. Organically grown, sustainably grown, low-intervention/natural wine.
