Lo-Fi Wines has an ethos we can wholeheartedly get behind. A partnership between two lifelong friends, Mike and Craig, they believe in crafting simple, delicious wines for everyday drinking. Focusing less on collectibility and more on quaffability, these wines are honest, authentic representations of a softer side of California. Lower in abv, without sacrificing power on the palate, each bottle sees neutral barrel, native yeast fermentation, little to no sulfur additions and no adjustment of pH. Young, vivacious, and oh so vibrant, we love the spunky, tongue-in cheek character of each pour. This cabernet franc hails from the gravelly fine sandy loam soils of the Coquelicot Vineyard and goes through whole-cluster semi-carbonic fermentation, pressed after 18 days. Used French oak is the name of the game here, with the wine aging for 10 months in barrel. Talk about a juice-bomb! Refreshing, with a pop of raspberry bubblegum on the midpalate, the wine finishes with that signature cab franc spice. Versatile as a pairing wine, it’ll complement the likes of pizza on the patio, as well as roasted chicken with herbed potatoes. Sustainably grown, low-intervention/natural wine.
