The Marguet family started producing champagne in the mid-1850s but unfortunately went out of business; descendents of the family revived it in the 1970’s with Benoît Marguet at the helm starting in 2004. Located in Montagne de Reims, France, the 8.5 hectare estate is dedicated to both biodynamic and organic practices. Sourced from various Grand Cru sites, including Ambonnay, this wine is predominantly Chardonnay blended with Pinot Noir. It is barrel-fermented with native yeast for added textural complexity and sees no final dosage, retaining the crisp primary fruit characteristics. Crisp and energetic, this champagne exhibits notes of redcurrant, cranberry, and grapefruit, with a slight herbal note and a long, mineral finish. Certified organic, certified biodynamic, low-intervention/natural wine.
