Maunoury 'Espirit du Lieu' Saumur Puy-Notre-Dame AOP 2018

Originally from Normandy, Jonathan Maunoury settled in the Loire Valley less than a decade ago to found his own winery. He has found an interesting spot for making powerful and interesting wines in Puy-Notre-Dame, south of the city of Saumur, and has managed to shift his vineyards to biodynamic practices. This cabernet franc is rich, dark, and serious (but not too serious!), marrying a density of plum and other black fruit flavors with fall spice and a bright red apple finish. Certified organic, certified biodynamic, low-intervention/natural wine.
