Crémant is a French sparkler produced via the same method used for Champagne (called méthode traditionnelle, méthode champenoise or simply traditional method), but hails from elsewhere in France and can be made with grapes not allowed in Champagne. This one, from a five-hectare family estate in the Alsatian village of Dambach-la-Ville, is a delicious and approachable entry point to the category. Made from a blend of sustainably farmed auxerrois, pinot blanc, pinot gris and riesling, it offers flavors of toasted hazelnut, honeysuckle, and yellow and green apples along a wave of creamy subtle bubbles. Sustainably farmed, vegan.
