Vineyard/Cellar Practices | Organically Grown, Biodynamically Grown, Low-Intervention/Natural Wine |
Silvia Prieto and Alberto Nanclares both came to winemaking as second careers. Silvia is trained as a lab technician; the company she started did analysis for wineries, advising winemakers on processes that avoid the use of additives. Alberto used to be an economist; he and his wife got into vineyard work by tending vines on the property they moved to by the ocean. Together, Alberto and Silvia prioritize careful winemaking with minimal intervention in the winery and long lees aging. Their wines are not fined or filtered. This ‘Dandelion’ comes from a mix of plots that face the ocean to the west. It ferments with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel. Beautifully mineral and balanced between an inviting texture and structuring acidity, its salty grilled peach and honeysuckle flavors make for a very satisfying mouthful. Organically grown, low-intervention/natural wine.
