Poggiosecco has grown Tuscan grape varieties in the Montalbano Hills since 1967; owners and winemakers Marco Filipello and Giuseppe Pluchino moved into organic and biodynamic farming in 2001. This wine represents an amazing value for a Chianti grown in such an ecologically conscious way. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and clarified without any fining agents, it aged for a year in cement and in the bottle for another six months before release. With just enough earthiness and tannin to create that classic Tuscan structure, it folds sundried tomatoes into bright cherry fruit on the palate. Certified organic, certified biodynamic, low-intervention/natural wine.
