A decadent dessert wine from a premiere winegrowing area of South Australia! Yalumba is a venerable estate in the Barossa Valley, owned and operated by the Hill-Smith family since 1849. Though the valley is primarily known for its shiraz, this muscat shows the diversity that Barossa is capable of. This ‘Antique’ muscat is fortified with neutral grape spirit to arrest fermentation before all the natural sweetness has been consumed. Aged in neutral oak barrels, this bottling comes from a mix of barrels of different ages. A rich amber-brown in the glass, it exudes flavors of prune and golden raisin, with the slight astringency of hazelnut on the finish. Sustainably grown.
